Women and Children

A trivial point about the current crisis in Gaza: I find it strange the progressive organizations are still citing deaths by saying “n people were killed, including m women and k children.”  To highlight the civilian casualties, one might just cite the deaths of children.  This would hardly change the force of citing those deaths, as a UN report found that 34% of casualties in Gaza had been children.

  1. Agreed. It’s quite strange.

I’d never quite thought of it that way before, somehow.
